About the Institute

Institute of Cybernetic Surgery Ltd. (Instytut Chirurgii Cybernetycznej Sp. z o.o.) was established in 2009 to introduce CyberKnife® radiosurgery treatment for patients with cancerous tumours to Poland. The project, including the purchase of land, equipment and building of the Institute, received a grant from the European Union – European Regional Development Fund as a part of the PARP (the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development) Innovative Economy Programme – Grants for Innovation.

In 2011, in Wieliszew near Warsaw, a Cyberknife Center clinic was established with the CyberKnife® Robotic Radiosurgery System installed together with all necessary technical facilities. In the immediate vicinity  is located the Mazovia Oncology Hospital of Warsaw College  ( Mazowiecki Szpital Onkologiczny Uczelni Warszawskiej), which will give its patients the chance to receive comprehensive specialist oncology medical treatment.

The Cyberknife Center aims to assemble a group of oncologists, surgeons, radiologists – all physicians interested in the innovative methods of cancer treatment. Conferences and seminars are to be organised by Cyberknife Center. Co-operation with the Physics Department of Warsaw University has been established, and training and seminars led by guest lecturers are being offered to students .  There is also a Research and Development Department working in the Institute.  

Institute of Cybernetic Surgery Ltd. operates a Quality Management System and holds Certificate ISO 9001:2008t
